Hello A’s and Raiders fans. We are fans also, having grown up in the hills of the East Bay back when both teams were really exciting, late 60’s and 70’s. We are now in New Jersey, believe it or not.
We have supplied the Coliseum with many, spare parts and creative methods of repairing them ever since 1995 and are very familiar with these seats. The seats we got are from various sections in the 100 level, installed in 1996, replaced by the A’s with the popular table/seat areas that you see in many ballparks today.
What we have in our warehouse now are what we call “sets of plastic” from the Coliseum. These are the seats/backs to the seats but we ran out of the authentic legs over the last few years as fans bought the seats. Actually, 90% of the legs were kept for spare parts by the Coliseum.
To make seats again we have taken identical legs from another venue, Auburn Univ. football stadium , (Jordan Hare Stadium), and re-powdercoated them to be green to match the Oakland color. (Actually, thousands of legs in the Coliseum itself are actually from other venues that we shipped into Oakland for spare parts over the last 30 years. The factory went out of business right after the Oakland renovations in 1996).
- Authentic green seat and backs, will have very minor scratches and sometimes a little fading but in very good condition overall.
- Legs are the floor mount versions, quite rare, that you will find in some areas of the Coliseum, but from Auburn. The seat springs will work.
- Original number tags are usually faded somewhat. Requests for certain seat numbers are fine but we might not find them or we might have to use new number tags if needed.
- Comes with mahogany wood feet stained to make a brownish color.
- A pair is shipped by FedEx in a box wherein the first seat is assembled but you will need to attach the second seat using a 7/16″ socket and 8 small aluminum bolts included. VERY easy to do.
- Comes with a certificate explaining the seats’ history.
