These seats are being carefully removed from the Legendary Blue Horizon by Archer Seating, the leader in stadium seat preservation and care.
Installed in 1914, made by Heywood Wakefield and have their ORIGINAL varnish on them. They are truly gorgeous.
The history of the Legendary Blue Horizon located on North Broad Street in Philadelphia is legendary. Over 50 World Champion boxers have come thru the Blue Horizon. Voted the best boxing venue in the world at the time, ahead of Madison Square Garden and Ceasars Palace, mainly due to how close the fans can sit to the fights. Also famous in the Rocky movies and used in the movie Annapolis.
No seats have ever been removed before from this venue before, the building is being renovated for other uses and will never see another fight or concert. The Blue Horizon was also the hub of social activity for thousands of youths, students and adults on N. Broad Street. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity created by Ms. Vernoca Michaels and her partners, the longtime owners and operators of the Blue Horizon.
