Fighting Irish football fans have a chance to own a piece of history.
The University of Notre Dame athletics department is offering fans the rare opportunity to purchase two-foot-by-five-foot sections of the natural grass from the field at Notre Dame Stadium.
The natural grass field, which is being replaced by a FieldTurf artificial surface, is being removed this week so the time to buy is now.
