It’s only been 12 years since the Detroit Lions left the Silverdome in Pontiac, Mich., for Ford Field in downtown Detroit, but the years have not been kind to the stadium that hosted games in the 1994 FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XVI in 1982 and the 1988 and 1991 Midwest Regionals for the NCAA tournament.

TV reporter Alex Atwell recently visited the stadium and found it in horrible disrepair. You can see the video HERE.

An online auction is planned for mid-May for the stadium’s assets.
